About the founder

Dmitry Nikolaev is a filmmaker and dancer — an artist who understands movement from the inside out. Originally from Belarus, he is an eight-time National Latin Champion and a World and European Cup finalist. His passion for film began when he and his friends started documenting their practice sessions, capturing the effort and emotion behind every step. With over fifteen years of experience in video production, Dmitry is known for his cinematic storytelling, artistic vision, and memorable on-camera presence. His interviews have become a signature — brave, funny, and full of love for dancers — revealing the human side of ballroom culture with warmth and authenticity. “I was lucky that dance is my life and my passion,” he says. “But I was truly blessed to discover filmmaking — not many dancers get to live both.
